How Our Service Works
Light Legal provides a structured first point of contact for people and businesses looking for professional legal support. Our role is administrative: we collect initial information, help organise documents and, where appropriate, make an introduction to an independent regulated provider.
Step 1 — You contact Light Legal
You tell us, in your own words, the type of issue you need assistance with. At this stage we collect basic information only.
Step 2 — We organise your enquiry
We may ask for administrative information or documents so that the enquiry can be referred to a relevant professional. We do not determine your legal rights, prospects or eligibility.
Step 3 — We identify a possible panel provider
If we have a suitable provider, we can introduce you. The provider is independent from Light Legal and is responsible for confirming whether they can act for you.
Step 4 — You decide whether to instruct the provider
The regulated professional or firm will provide its own client-care information, fees, regulatory information and terms. You decide whether you wish to instruct them.
Step 5 — Legal advice is provided by the regulated professional
Once instructed, the professional is responsible for the legal advice, legal documents, strategy and representation. Light Legal does not control or alter that professional advice.
Step 6 — Light Legal may continue with agreed administration
Where appropriate and with consent, we may help coordinate documents, appointments and non-legal administrative communications.
Not sure who you need to speak to?
Send us an initial enquiry. We will tell you whether we can help with the administrative/referral process and, where appropriate, connect you with an independent regulated professional.
